Southeast Designer Showhouse — Wellness Center in Liem Black Porcelain

This Southeast Designer Showhouse Wellness Center sets a dark, dramatic tone the moment you walk in. Designed by Claudia Stimmel of Simplicity a Southern Lifestyle as part of her “Modern Gym Design” concept for the lower level, the space is wrapped in Liem Black Porcelain from floor to ceiling — including the walk-in shower. The vanity pairs a sculptural French-meets-masculine backsplash that I designed myself with channel sinks integrated directly into the Liem Black slab — no separate sink, no break in the stone.

The shower is its own technical achievement. Full porcelain slab on the walls AND the ceiling — no margin for error on the seams. Out at the vanity, Tene and Antonio on my team talked me out of about three bad ideas before we landed on a backsplash silhouette that was both balanced and buildable.
