Can I use vinegar to clean quartzite countertops?

Don’t use vinegar on quartzite. It’s acidic enough to etch the surface and eat through your sealer, even diluted. The damage isn’t instant — it builds up. After a few weeks of vinegar spray, you’ll notice dull spots where the polish used to be, especially around the sink where you wipe most often. Same goes for lemon juice or any ‘natural cleaning’ recipe with citric acid. Stone doesn’t care that it’s organic. If you’ve been using vinegar and the surface looks hazy, the sealer’s probably compromised. Run a water bead test to check. Reseal if the water soaks in instead of sitting on top. Warm water and dish soap does everything vinegar does, without the risk.
