Can I Use Clorox Wipes on Quartzite?

Don’t use Clorox wipes on quartzite — they eat through the sealer. Bleach (sodium hypochlorite) breaks down the sealant layer over time and leaves the stone exposed to staining and etching. For daily cleaning, dish soap and warm water on a microfiber cloth handles everything. If you need to disinfect after raw meat or similar, a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water is safe and actually kills bacteria. Acid cleaners are the other thing to watch: vinegar, lemon juice, and citrus sprays all etch quartzite the same way bleach does. The same rules apply whether you have Taj Mahal, Super White, or anything else. Reseal every 12 to 18 months and you’re good.
